Who we are

Dominus Dune Tours runs guided tours from Swakopmund, Namibia. This page explains what personal information the website collects, why, and what you can ask us to do with it.

What we collect

  • Bookings: your name, email, phone number, the tour, date, number of guests, pickup place, special requests, allergies or dietary needs, and any promo code.
  • Your account (optional): your email, name and a securely encrypted password, so you can see, change or cancel your bookings.
  • Messages: what you send us through the contact form, email or WhatsApp.
  • Website use: anonymous visit statistics from Google Analytics, only if you accept analytics cookies. See the Cookie policy.

Why we use it

  • To check availability, confirm and run your tour, and arrange your pickup.
  • To send booking confirmations, updates and a reminder the day before your tour by email and WhatsApp.
  • To keep you safe: allergies and dietary needs are shared only with the guide and any lodge or kitchen preparing your meals.
  • To keep the records we need for accounting and tax.
  • To ask for a review after your tour. You can tell us to stop at any time.

We do not sell your information and we do not send marketing newsletters unless you ask for them.

Who else sees it

Only the services needed to run the booking: our web host (where the booking is stored), our email provider, WhatsApp (Meta) for booking messages, PayPal if you choose to pay online, and Google if you accept analytics cookies. For overnight tours we share your name, group size and dietary needs with the lodge.

How long we keep it

We keep booking details for as long as we need them for the tour, for our accounting records, and to answer any later questions. Account details are kept until you ask us to close your account.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of your information, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it (unless we must keep it for accounting or legal reasons). Logged-in guests can update their bookings on the My account page. For anything else, contact us using the details below.

Security

The website uses an encrypted connection (HTTPS), passwords are stored encrypted, and only our team can open the booking dashboard.
